The airport straddles the boundary between Elizabeth and Newark, the latter of which is the most populous city in the state. The airport is owned jointly by the cities of Elizabeth and Newark and leased to and operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Westchester County Airport (HPN) IATA is a county-owned airport in Westchester County, New York,[1] three miles (6 km) northeast of the central business district of White Plains,[1] in the towns of Harrison, North Castle and Rye. The airfield is also sometimes referred to as White Plains Airport and has been identified by this name in the past by the Official Airline Guide (OAG).
